The Volvo XC60 has been a popular Volvo SUV since its introduction. It is known for its styling, commitment to safety, and premium features, which help to set it apart in a crowded segment. The XC60 received a redesign back in 2018, and for 2023, it should keep its attractive looks. Whether you are shopping for a family premium SUV or you just prefer a luxury automotive experience, this is what we know about the 2023 Volvo XC60 so far.

The 2023 XC60 will carry on powertrain changes

In 2022, Volvo updated the powertrain lineup of the XC60. The T5 and T6 designations are now gone, replaced by the B5 and B6 naming. Additionally, Volvo has been toying with electrifying its lineup, as the XC60 can be had as a plug-in hybrid vehicle.

For those in search of a performance SUV, there is the XC60 Polestar Engineered. With this package, buyers will get 415 horsepower and a legitimately powerful powertrain. This model helps to compete with other performance vehicles from brands like Acura and BMW.

What’s new for the 2023 Volvo XC60?

Because the XC60 was updated in 2022, we expect a fair amount to stay the same for this luxury vehicle. In 2022, Volvo gave the PHEV version of the XC60 a larger battery pack, and the infotainment system was changed. The XC60 now uses a Google-based software that is taken from the XC40 Recharge.

According to Volvo Expert, the interior may receive a light refresh. This likely means more luxury materials and updated design language. The XC60 has plenty of competition out there. So it is important for Volvo to invest in this model if they want to keep it successful.

When will the 2023 Volvo XC60 be available?

The release date for the 2023 XC60 has not yet been announced, but we feel it should be arriving by the end of 2022. Rumors have been circulating that a facelift could be in store for 2023, which is an exciting prospect.

In terms of pricing, the XC60 currently has an MSRP of over $40,000. Higher trim levels can certainly cost much more than that depending on your preference. The 2023 XC60 will probably be around the same price point. Which is a reflection of the luxury that this vehicle has to offer, with things like a crystal gear shifter.

Is the Volvo X60 worth buying?

The XC60 has long been a popular vehicle in Volvo’s lineup, and if you are looking for something different, it is worthy of consideration. It can come with ample performance as well as some of the latest safety equipment, which makes this vehicle ideal for daily use. While the XC60 may not be the cheapest luxury SUV on the market today, that is not what its intention is.
