The most significant addition for the 2023 Venza is the new Nightshade Edition trim. Based on the XLE trim, the Venza Nightshade Edition has various dark exterior design features. This includes:

  • Acrylic front grille trim
  • Black roof rails
  • Black-painted door handles, rocker panels, and outer mirror caps
  • Lower bumpers with smoked chrome moldings
  • Black shark fin antenna
  • 19-inch gloss-black multi-spoke aluminum alloy wheels
  • Blacked out rear badges

Buyers of the 2023 Venza Nightshade have a choice of three exterior paint color options: Celestial Black, Wind Chill Pearl, or Ruby Flare Red. Also, the interior of the Venza Nightshade Edition features an “array of black trim.”

Technology feature upgrades for the 2023 Venza

Along with the new Nightshade Edition trim, the 2023 Venza has technology feature upgrades. This includes the new Toyota Audio Multimedia infotainment system, which has either an 8” or a 12.3” display. Features in the new multimedia system include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, over-the-air updates, and cloud navigation.

Also, the 2023 Venza has the newly standard Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) 2.5 suite of safety-enhancing driving assistance technology features. This is an upgrade from the TSS 2.0 system that’s in the 2022 Venza. Improvements include enhancements to the automatic emergency braking system and the evasive steering assist system.

The Toyota Venza is not due for a redesign for at least another couple of years. However, the new Nightshade Edition trim and technology upgrades help it to be competitive for the midsize crossover SUV segment.
