2023 Toyota Tundra: What’s New With You?
Didn’t we just get a new Toyota Tundra? Yes, we sure did. This full-size truck was fully redesigned for a new generation with the 2022 model year. Has Toyota already found ways to upgrade our trucking experience with the Tundra? Let’s dig in and see what’s new for the 2023 Toyota Tundra.
The SR5 model offers the SX Package to the 2023 Toyota Tundra
Toyota adds a new appearance package to the Tundra, but only at one trim level. The SR5 trim is eligible for the SX appearance package as long as consumers don’t opt for the 8-foot truck bed. This package adds:
- Dark Gray Metallic 18-inch wheels
- Body-colored door handles, body trim, and bumpers
- Black 4×4 badges on the rear
- Black interior accents
- Door badges are deleted
This appearance package is available for Tundra models pained in white, gray, silver, or black, giving you a great-looking full-size truck to drive.
All 2023 Toyota Tundra trucks now have Rear Seat Reminder
The Rear Seat Reminder feature is becoming more commonplace. This important feature aids owners with a reminder that something or someone could be in the rear of the truck and need to exit the truck when it’s turned off. The reminder sounds an alert if the rear doors are opened anytime within ten minutes of the truck starting or during the drive. This feature is now standard across all trim levels of this full-size Toyota truck.
Do you want your Tundra to wear Solar Octane paint?
One of the most popular colors for this full-size truck is an orange color called Solar Octane. This paint is exclusively offered for the TRD Pro trim of the 2023 Toyota Tundra. If you want the bright orange color, you’ll also enjoy the benefits of the off-road package that comes in the TRD Pro trim. That sounds like a win-win situation for this truck.
How much power does this full-size truck offer?
The 2023 Toyota Tundra brings the same powertrains as the 2022 model. Even though there aren’t any changes under the hood, it’s good to know what this truck brings to the party. The Tundra offers a pair of powertrains for consumers. These powertrains are:
3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, 10-speed automatic transmission
389 horsepower, 479 lb-ft of torque.
Max towing: 12,000 pounds
Max payload: 1,940 pounds
3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 hybrid engine, 10-speed automatic transmission
437 horsepower, 583 lb-ft of torque
Max towing: 11,450 pounds
Max payload: 1,680 pounds
How much does the 2023 Toyota Tundra Cost?
Without any added packages, the base pricing for the seven Tundra trims is as follows:
- SR – $36,695
- SR5 – $42,470
- Limited – $48,565
- Platinum – $58,7775
- 1794 Edition – $59,460
- TRD Pro – $68,520
- Capstone – $75245
Is this a good full-size truck to drive?
If you’re searching for a truck packed with advanced tech and a hybrid powertrain, the 2023 Toyota Tundra is a great choice. The addition of the SX Package, Rear Seat Reminder, and TRD Pro-exclusive color makes this truck even more attractive to some consumers.
On the other hand, if you want a truck that tows more and has more power options, the trucks from Ram, Ford, Chevy, and GMC give you much more than the Tundra.
