Sequoia vs. Pilot: Performance and towing
On the performance front, the 2023 Toyota Sequoia dominates the 2022 Honda Pilot. It features an iForce MAX hybrid system, which generates a total system output of 437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque. In comparison, the 3.5-liter V-6 engine in the Pilot produces only 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque.

Sequoia vs. Pilot: Off-road capabilities
If you want to head out on wilderness adventures with an SUV, then the Sequoia is the best choice for you. The Pilot doesn’t come close to matching the off-road prowess of the Sequoia. The Sequoia features the same TNGA-F platform as the Toyota Land Cruiser off-roader and provides off-road enhancing features like adaptive dampers and rear air springs.
For even greater off-road prowess, you can get the Sequoia TRD Pro off-road-focused SUV. Notable features in the TRD Pro include a Multi-Terrain Monitor, Multi-Terrain Select, a selectable locking rear differential, 33-inch Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires, 2.5-inch Fox dampers, CRAWL Control, and Downhill Assist Control.

While the cargo area specs are not yet available for the 2023 Sequoia, they will likely be similar to the 2022 Sequoia. The 2022 Sequoia has a maximum cargo capacity of 120.1 cu-ft, compared to 83.9 cu-ft for the 2022 Pilot.
Sequoia vs. Pilot: Interior features and technologies
Both SUVs offer a wide array of interior features and technologies. This includes heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, a moonroof, a multi-zone climate control system, and a navigation system. However, unlike the Pilot, the Sequoia offers woodgrain interior trim.
Sequoia vs. Pilot: Warranty coverage
For warranty coverage, both SUVs have the backing of a 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. However, unlike the Pilot, the Sequoia has a no-cost maintenance plan, with two years and 25,000 miles of coverage.
