Though it only received four out of five stars for rollover and frontal crashes, it got five out of five for side crashes. The new Toyota Highlander is also considered a 2023 top safety pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.  

The 2023 Highlander is also safe because of its standard features. One of its most significant advantages over other vehicles is that it comes standard with eight airbags. Beyond being safe, the 2023 Highlander has much to offer the market. Regarding performance, it comes standard with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. This Toyota SUV has a maximum output of 265 horsepower. There is also a hybrid option for the new Toyota Highlander. 

Though not the fastest, the new Highlander accelerates from 0 to 60 miles per hour in a reported 7.5 seconds. It is decently swift, and the new Highlander has excellent handling capabilities. On the inside, the Highlander can seat up to eight and has a great use of interior technology. 

Overall, the 2023 Toyota Highlander is an excellent pick for anyone who puts safety at the top of their list. Beyond that, it delivers outstanding performance for a vehicle of its size and has Toyota’s legendary reliability.
