The 2023 Subaru Crosstrek is taking things up a notch. The new Crosstrek features redesigned seats, sound-deadening materials, and a new Special Edition option.

The new Crosstrek isn’t a redesign. Its updates are mild, but they could be enough to help the Crosstrek overtake some of its main competitors. The Crosstrek will compete with models like the Hyundai Kona, Mazda CX-30, and the redesigned 2023 Honda HR-V.

The 2023 Crosstrek comes standard with all-wheel drive. It has 8.7 inches of ground clearance. Some trims come standard with Subaru’s X-Mode terrain management system. The Sport trim comes standard with Dual-function X-Mode. The Crosstrek is one of the best small off-road SUVs on the market. It may not be able to tackle tough off-road obstacles, but it should perform well on most mild trails.

The Subaru Crosstrek Special Edition comes in Desert Khaki. It features Crystal Black Silica finish accents. The interior includes black and red upholstery with red stitching. The Special Edition is a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Premium package option. Ultimately, the Crosstrek didn’t change enough to make a significant impact, but it’s still competitive enough to stay in the game.
