The release date of the 2023 Subaru Ascent will be in Fall 2022. It will be available to buy at Subaru dealerships throughout the United States and in select international markets. The Subaru Ascent is built at Subaru’s plant in Lafayette, Indiana. 

How much does the 2023 Subaru Ascent cost?

Subaru didn’t yet release the price information for the 2023 Ascent SUV. However, the 2023 Ascent will likely cost slightly more than the 2022 Ascent. The starting price of the 2022 Ascent ranges from $32,795 MSRP for the Base trim up to $45,945 MSRP for the Touring trim.

All 2023 Subaru Ascent models have a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. Mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT), the turbo engine generates 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. Also, the Ascent has maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds. On the efficiency front, it gets an estimated gas mileage of up to 21 city/27 highway mpg.

For all-weather driving and off-road capabilities, the 2023 Ascent has the standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system. All Ascent trims also have hill descent control and active torque vectoring features. Plus, the off-road capabilities for the Ascent are aided by its 8.7 inches of ground clearance, which is higher than most SUV models.

Bold new design for the 2023 Ascent

The 2023 Subaru Ascent has a bold new design for the front end. Notable design changes include a more prominent grille, a more aggressive front bumper cover, and restyled LED headlights. Plus, the “new front bumper cover features new lower-edge air ducts to improve aerodynamic flow” under the SUV. Additionally, at the back end, the Ascent features redesigned Konoji (C-shaped) taillights.

New technology features in the 2023 Ascent

Along with the new design, the 2023 Subaru Ascent offers new technology features. All Ascent models now come standard with an 11.6-inch touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. Also, for enhanced safety and convenience, the Ascent features the latest version of the EyeSight suite of driving assistance technologies. Additionally, the SUV offers a new surround-view camera with a 360-degree overhead view.

The 2023 Subaru Ascent is available in five trims: Base, Premium, Onyx Edition, Limited, and Touring. For warranty coverage, the Ascent has the backing of a 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
