The Nissan Ariya will come in several different trim levels. Ariya trims range from $40,000 all the way to $60,000. It is by no means the most affordable electric SUV model.
Though the Ariya will eventually be available in multiple trim levels, higher Ariya trim levels will arrive first. This means that the average consumer will not be able to afford the Ariya for some time. According to Newsweek, the Ariya comes in four different trims. The most expensive trim will start at $58,950.
The least expensive Nissan Ariya starts at $45,950. Even with federal electric vehicle tax credits, the Ariya appears to be one of the more expensive electric SUVs. Some Ariya trims are capable of up to 300 miles of range. The Ariya Platinum dual-motor all-wheel drive model makes an astonishing 389 horsepower.
How does the Nissan Ariya compare to other electric SUVs?
Nissan isn’t necessarily late to the electric SUV game, but it isn’t the first automaker to release one either. That being said, there will be several electric SUVs to choose from by the time the Ariya is available for purchase.
The Ford Mustang Mach-E has been the most impactful electric SUV of 2021 in terms of sales and popularity. The Ariya’s design is reminiscent of a conventional modern SUV, but its sleek body panels and front fascia are also futuristic. The Ariya’s slim and sophisticated headlight design adds to its new-age aesthetic.
As far as performance, the Ariya’s high-level trims will compete with high-level Mach-E trims. Nissan has developed an EV that is meant to contend with the range and quickness of its top rivals.
