The new 2023 Mazda CX-30 will likely be available at Mazda dealerships in late Fall 2022. Also, customers can now build the crossover SUV on the Mazda site. Trims offered for the CX-30 include Base, Select, Preferred, Carbon Edition, Premium, Turbo Premium, and Turbo Premium Plus. 

How much does the 2023 Mazda CX-30 cost?

The starting price of the 2023 Mazda CX-30 ranges from $22,950 MSRP for the Base trim up to $35,400 MSRP for the Turbo Premium Plus trim. Also, the 2023 CX-30 costs $450 more than the 2022 version, which starts at $22,500 MSRP.

The new 2023 Mazda CX-30 offers two engine options. The base 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine generates 191 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque — with a 5-hp boost over the 2022 version. The revised engine is also more efficient, with an estimated gas mileage of up to 26 city/33 highway mpg — a 2 mpg increase.

For those that desire greater performance, the available turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine delivers up to 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. Also, the estimated fuel economy for this engine is 22 city/30 highway mpg. 

For confident traction, the CX-30 comes standard with an all-wheel drive system. Additionally, the crossover SUV has a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 pounds.

2023 CX-30: Passenger and cargo space

The 2023 CX-30 can seat up to five people, with a total passenger volume of 94.1 cu-ft. For legroom, it provides 41.7 inches of front seat legroom and 36.3 inches for the rear seats. Also, for storage space, the CX-30 has a rear cargo capacity of 20.2 cu-ft and a maximum cargo capacity of 45.2 cu-ft.

New safety features for the 2023 CX-30

Along with the higher horsepower output and gas mileage for the base engine, the 2023 Mazda CX-30 has new safety features. This includes rear-side airbags, a shin pad for front and rear door trims, and rear seat belt pre-tensioners. Also, it has improvements for the B- and C-pillars.
