One of the most popular three-row midsize SUVs just got a little better. The affordable but value-filled Kia Telluride now offers off-road-oriented trims. Although it’s won many awards in the past, all models have room to improve. Buyers can now enhance the Telluride with rugged design cues and capability just like the smaller Sportage in the Kia lineup. Unfortunately, the X-Line and X-Pro models will be some of the costliest in the 2023 Kia Telluride lineup.

What is the 2023 Kia Telluride X-Line?

According to HotCars, the 2023 Kia Telluride X-Line is a package filled with off-road capabilities and a few unique design offerings. Since it’s at the top of the lineup, it offers many things in addition to the range-topping Prestige trim. Both “X” models get new interior luxuries, standard all-wheel drive, improved capability, and off-road comfort mode, which allows for better traction and control. Additionally, the X-Line package adds a 0.4-inch lift for added ground clearance.

Next, X-Line buyers get unique alloy wheels with special 20-inch all-terrain tires and X-Line styling throughout. Styling changes include X-Line stitching on the front seats, exclusive interior color options, and more. High-utility roof rails also add to the rugged appearance and make the Telluride a bit more capable.

Not all changes are strictly cosmetic, but functional too. Moreover, the Telluride X-Line has increased towing capacity and cooling capability. With it, owners can tow up to 5,000 pounds. The X-Line model also has everything from the Prestige model, plus more excellent technology. For example, dual sunroofs, a smart power tailgate, Nappa leather seat trim, a heated steering wheel, and heated/ventilated second-row seats.

Although it’s mostly the same as the X-Line package, the X-Pro adds its own unique details. For example, the 2023 Kia Telluride X-Pro gains a set of unique alloy wheels but with 18-inch all-terrain tires. Next, X-Pro styling is spread around the vehicle. Finally, it also gets increased ground clearance, increased approach and departure angles, and high-utility roof rails.

Next, buying the Tow package allows the Telluride’s capacity to increase to 5,500 pounds. Furthermore, this model has a self-leveling rear suspension, a 110-volt power inverter in the cargo area, embossed front seats, and X-Pro exclusive interior colors.

Buying it with the Prestige equipment gets the most bang for your buck. It adds incredible technology like automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, evasive steering assist, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, lane-keeping technology, 12.3-inch panoramic displays, and a Harman Kardon audio system.

How much do the Telluride X-Line and X-Pro cost?

Unfortunately, the affordable 2023 Kia Telluride gets expensive when purchasing these packages. On the bright side, it’s for a good reason, because they’re very well-equipped. HC says the SX Prestige X-Line starts at $51,985, while the SX Prestige X-Pro is $52,985. However, the packages are available for lower trims, like the EX model, which is $45,685 with the X-Line. Contrarily, the X-Pro package is only available with the SX model and up, which starts at $49,085 with the rugged features.

In conclusion, the added cost makes a lot of sense for a buyer interested in these features. It may be the perfect upgrade if you want a midsize three-row SUV that can take you anywhere. The 2023 Kia Telluride is ultra-popular among buyers and critics for the immense value it provides. Paying a bit more gets you so much equipment from lower trims, plus a long list of new items with the X-Pro, X-Line, and Prestige features.
