According to Hyundai, the Ioniq 6 took home the World Car of the Year Award, the World Design Car Award, and the World Electric Vehicle Award. The World Car of the Year Award is the most prestigious award presented at the ceremony, and the Ioniq 6 took home this top honor. This award is given to the car that stands out for its excellence, innovation, and overall impact on the automotive industry.

As for the other awards, the World Design Car Award recognizes the car with the most outstanding design features. The Ioniq 6’s sleek and futuristic design, with its long, low hood and fastback roofline, made it a clear winner in this category. Meanwhile, the World Electric Vehicle Award is given to the best electric car on the market. The Ioniq 6’s impressive range of up to 361 miles on a single charge and fast charging capabilities made it the clear choice for this award. The car’s performance and eco-friendliness also make it a standout in the electric vehicle category.

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 has also been named the Saloon of the Year at the prestigious 2023 GQ Car Awards. The awards are presented by GQ Magazine, a well-respected men’s lifestyle publication known for its fashion, style, and culture coverage. The Saloon of the Year award recognizes the Ioniq 6 as the best saloon car on the market, thanks to its exceptional performance, innovative features, and stylish design. 

The Ioniq 6’s recognition by GQ further cements its position as a top performer in the automotive industry. It highlights its appeal to a wide range of audiences, including those interested in luxury, design, and performance. The award adds to the growing list of accolades that the Ioniq 6 has received, cementing its position as a game-changing EV.

The Ioniq 6 is a high-performance electric vehicle

The 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 offers two battery pack options: a standard 53 kWh pack and a larger 77.4 kWh pack. The base model has a single rear motor that produces 149 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. However, for a more exhilarating driving experience, one can opt for the larger battery pack that produces 225 hp and provides all-wheel drive with an additional motor up front, resulting in a combined 320 hp. 

The cabin of the Ioniq 6 is a sight to behold. Its interior is less vibrant than the striking exterior, with leather-wrapped seats adding a touch of luxury. The design is reminiscent of the Ioniq 5’s interior but with more flair. The dual 12-inch digital instrument panel and central touchscreen share a single housing and are easy to navigate.
