The 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid price starts at $32,450, and the top-spec Sport Touring Hybrid model increases the cost to about $38,600. These are the MSRPs, so the prices don’t include the destination fee or dealership markup.

For comparison’s sake, the 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid starts at $30,225. The lower starting price may be attractive, but the Honda CR-V Hybrid could be more comfortable and may include more standard features.

What is the 2023 CR-V Hybrid’s fuel economy?

The 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid gets an EPA-estimated 43 mpg in the city and up to 36 mpg on the highway. Adding all-wheel drive reduces these figures to 40 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. You may be able to travel over 518 miles before needing a fill-up.

The 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid rings in with an EPA-estimated 41 mpg in the city and up to 38 mpg on the highway.

With the 2023 CR-V Hybrid, you get a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that’s paired with two electric motors and a 1.4-kWh battery pack to generate 204 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque. This is an increase of three horses and 15 torque over the outgoing model.

The CR-V Hybrid can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 8.0 seconds. This is average for the class, with plenty of muscle for passing others on the highway and merging into traffic.

Plus, it provides smooth transmission shifts, responsive handling, and confident brakes. It has a pretty smooth ride over pavement, but larger impacts are noticeable. The interior is mostly quiet, but an occasional engine roar can be heard.
