The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is the newest addition to the mid-engine C8 Corvette family. Certainly, there’s been no shortage of hype surrounding its announcement and rollout. After all, Chevrolet did give it the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 engine ever put in a production car. Now that we know a price, we can clearly see what supercars it puts to shame in both performance and bang for your buck!

Porsche 911 GT3 – $162,450

GM Authority reports that the starting price of the C8 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is $106,395. With its 5.5-liter Ferrari-inspired flat-plane V8 putting out an astonishing 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, it’s no slouch. It’ll sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and carry on to a top speed of 188 miles per hour.

Like the standard Stingray C8 Corvette, the Z06 is meant for far more than straight-line performance, too. It’s a ferocious race track weapon, just like the Porsche 911 GT3. According to Car and Driver, the 2022 GT3 hits 60 mph in just 2.7 seconds and has a top speed of 198 miles per hour.

Sure, it’s a hair faster in both categories and is one of the most iconic sports cars in the world. However, for a price difference of over $50,000, it’s hard not to turn to the Corvette.

Lamborghini Huracan Evo – $213,104

Of course, if you’re talking mid-engine supercars, you can’t have a conversation without the mention of a Lamborghini. Not just any Lamborghini in this case, either. The Huracan is the most-sold Lamborghini in history and comes with plenty of spice.

The Huracan Evo will hit 60 miles per hour in an astonishing 2.5 seconds. Additionally, it has an eye-watering top speed of over 200 miles per hour.

Again, these metrics outweigh the 2023 Corvette Z06 by a hair. However, with the starting price sitting at over $100,000 higher, the Corvette still shines in comparison when it comes down to value.

Astonishingly, despite the massive price difference, the 2023 Corvette Z06 can hang here, too. In fact, it hangs a bit better than with the previous two entrants.

The 2022 McLaren 720S has the same zero to 60 mph time as the Corvette with its 2.8-second Car and Driver result. It does have an advertised top speed of 212 miles per hour, though. At any rate, with a starting price a whopping $213,000 higher than the C8 Z06, you’re really paying for the brand more than the performance in this case.

Ferrari F8 Tributo – $302,500

Finally, the 2022 Ferrari F8 Tributo has a starting price of $302,500, putting it far above the starting price of the C8 Z06.

However, Car and Driver reports a test result for the F8 Tributo of 2.8 seconds for its zero to 60 mph sprint, matching the advertised time of the Z06. Despite having a pair of turbochargers accompanying the V8 and a whopping 710 horsepower, the Ferrari doesn’t quite stomp on the Corvette like one might assume based on the price difference!

Overall, it will be super interesting to see how the new 2023 Corvette Z06 does during Car and Driver’s testing to get an idea of the direct comparison. One thing is for sure, though, the C8 Z06 is an amazing car for the price point. It certainly punches up phenomenally!
