Upon its release, the C8 Chevrolet Corvette was consistently praised for its value. As well it should have been. The performance you get for the original starting price of under $60,000 is entirely unmatched. However, since its debut for the model year 2020, the C8 has steadily been going up. Now, the 2023 model year Corvettes are getting another price hike.

The entire C8 lineup sees an increase of $1,000

According to Kelley Blue Book, Chevrolet raised the price of the iconic mid-engine Corvette by $1,000 across the board. Now, the cheapest option to get into a C8 is $61, 900. However, that is for the base model 1LT coupe with no options. However, it does still net you the 495 horsepower V8 engine and dual-clutch transmission. No nuking performance for a reduced price here!

However, upping the trim levels to 2LT and 3LT starts to get relatively costly. The most expensive offering for the 2023 model year (excluding the Z06) is a starting price of $80,850.00 for a 3LT convertible. Stepping up to these packages nets standard equipment like wireless phone charging, power seats, a heated steering wheel, and more.

The price breakdown based on trim and model is as follows:

Coupe 1LT – $61,900.00
Coupe 2LT – $69,200.00
Convertible 1LT -$69,400.00
Coupe 3LT -$73,850.00
Convertible 2LT – $76,200.00
Convertible 3LT- $80,850.00

Additionally, the 2023 model year celebrates the 70th anniversary of the Corvette. So, Chevy is offering a special 70th-anniversary package. It is, however, only available on 3LT models. It comes in either White Pearl Metallic Tri-Coat or Carbon Flash Metallic. Additionally, it has optional racing stripes available in either Satin Gray or Satin Black. This limited package adds a cool $5,995 without the stripes and $6,990 with them.

One price Chevy has yet to announce is perhaps the most anticipated. The world wants to know what the new Z06 will cost.

Though no official word has been made as of yet, Kelley Blue Book offers a reasonable estimate. Their data states that the previous generation Corvette’s Z06 package added $25,000 to the price of the standard models. However, it wouldn’t at all be surprising to see that margin spread further for the 2023 Corvette. Seeing a starting price of around $100,000 doesn’t feel like an unrealistic prediction.

That’s because the Z06 is such a monumental step up to an already massively improved Corvette. While many purists still don’t love the mid-engine layout, it’s undoubtedly the best performing Corvette in history. So, the Z06’s addition of a flat-plane crank V8 screaming like an F1 car and making 670 horsepower seems to justify quite a price jump. Indeed, the world keeps its ears to the ground anticipating the Z06 price announcement.

Overall, the price increase isn’t all that drastic. In fact, given current markups on C8 Corvettes between dealers and private party sellers, these numbers actually look pretty tame. So, if the $1,000 price increase doesn’t scare you off, put in an order! Based on the current production status, you’ve got plenty of time to change your mind.
