Get out of the way, the Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 Bison is busting through the gate. This off-roading truck is coming back stronger than before. The 2023 Chevy Silverado ZR2 Bison could be the perfect match against the Ford F-150 Raptor R and Ram 1500 TRX.

Soon we will see the 2023 Chevy Silverado ZR2 Bison emerge, and it could be General Motors’ most capable off-roading truck ever. We only have to wait a few more weeks to learn everything about this beast.

Chevrolet is keeping things under wraps for now, but we do have a few clues and teasers to think about. The new Silverado ZR2 Bison could get similar upgrades from the Chevy Colorado ZR2 model.

Thanks to a 30-second teaser video, we can see that the Silverado ZR2 Bison means business with unique features. It has a different set of fog lights on the lower bumper with a more confident shape.

The Colorado ZR2 Bison has a steel bumper from AEV, so the big Bison could have one too. It also rides on a unique set of AEV-badged tires, and the undercarriage is protected by multiple skid plates.

You’ll notice that the rear end features a sliver-colored applique. We wouldn’t be surprised if the Bison also gets exclusive shades of paint.

How much power does the Silverado Bison ZR2 have?

It is currently unclear if the 2023 Chevy Silverado ZR2 Bison will gain extra power, but we hope it does. The Silverado ZR2 is equipped with the 6.2-liter V8 engine that provides 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque.

That’s a little far from the Ram 1500 TRX’s 702 hp and the Ford F-150 Raptor R’s rumored 725 hp. However, some critics feel like the Silverado ZR2 Bison will be more of a mild option that isn’t for desert racing.

For example, the Silverado ZR2 focuses more on overlanding and rock crawling. It doesn’t have a wide body and is the only truck in the segment with a true front locking differential.

The Chevy Silverado ZR2 Bison will probably be tougher with boron steel skid plates, a two-inch suspension lift, a revised rear bumper with tow hooks, a winch on the front bumper and a snorkel.

How much does the 2023 Silverado Bison ZR2 cost?

Official pricing for the 2023 Chevy Silverado ZR2 Bison hasn’t been released, but it probably won’t come cheap. The 2022 Silverado ZR2 starts at $68,400. The Bison could cost a few thousand more to cover the cost of upgrades.

Plus, the ZR2 Bison could feature new off-roading modes and tech to enhance control. The interior is expected to be extremely luxurious with leather upholstery, pops of wood or carbon trim, and protective all-weather mats.

It could include the 13.4-inch horizontal touchscreen with an upgraded digital gauge cluster and head-up display. Plus, a wireless phone charging pad, ventilated seats, and a 360-degree camera might come standard.

We can’t wait to learn more about the toughest Silverado ever. Stay tuned for the latest Chevy Silverado ZR2 Bison updates.
