In a veritable symphony of design, elegance, presence, and technology, the Cadillac Lyriq emerges from the shadows as the first electric vehicle for the luxury brand. This new EV for 2023 is nearly identical to the concept model, giving us the idea that Cadillac pushed the bean counters aside in favor of the right look and feel for this brand-new offering.

Cadillac placed the Lyriq in the right luxury SUV spot

This isn’t the first time the Cadillac brand started with a vehicle in the middle of the pack. Think back to when the SRX became the XT5; this was a midsize SUV change. Once the XT5 caught on, which was pretty easy, the XT4 and XT6 came next. MotorTrend tells us Cadillac is doing the same thing again with the Lyriq. This new electric luxury SUV is in the middle of the lineup, not at the top or bottom.

The Lyriq puts all the right ingredients together

What are you looking for in an electric luxury SUV? Do you want cabin style, stunning body lines, amazing technology, or a generous driving range? Th 2023 Cadillac Lyriq has all these things and more to give you a luxury SUV driving experience you’ll remember for a long time.

What is the driving range of the Cadillac Lyriq?

Kelley Blue Book tells us versions of this EV that use a single electric motor will have 312 miles of driving range. This power offering gives consumers 340 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. A dual-motor version arrives in early 2023 to deliver 500 horsepower for the drive.

What features of this luxury SUV will make you smile?

Two of the favorite items in the Cadillac Lyriq are the Super Cruise feature and the Infotainment screen.

The Super Cruise feature is a hands-free partial self-driving system that works on previously mapped highways. This feature can change lanes if the turn signal is activated.

Across the dashboard, a new infotainment system measuring 33 inches on a diagonal plane gives you a massive technology center. The graphics are crisp, and the software quickly responds to your inputs.

How does the Cadillac Lyriq stack up to the competition?

The luxury SUV world brings several impressive electric models to deliver the performance desired. MotorTrend tells us that the Lyriq brings an average power level compared to what we see from Tesla, Lucid, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. We will tell an entirely different story when the new dual-motor version arrives.  At that time, the Lyriq could be a top-performing EV SUV.

How much will the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq cost?
