BMW has an illustrious history of producing world-class cars that deliver incredible performance, innovative features, and offer high-level luxury. Read more to find out what we know so far about its expected release date, price, and specs.

The 2023 BMW XM will likely hit the streets in early 2023. It will be available at dealerships in the U.S. and international markets. BMW plans to start production of the 2023 XM in late 2022 at Plant Spartanburg, South Carolina.

How much does the 2023 BMW XM be?

BMW hasn’t yet released the price information or revealed the trim levels for the 2023 XM. However, the 2023 XM will likely cost well over $100,000, reports Car and Driver. BMW treats the XM as its flagship SUV model, slotting above the BMW X7. The starting price of the 2022 BMW X7 M50i, the high-performance version of the X7, is $99,800 MSRP. You can expect the 2023 XM to cost considerably more than that.

The 2023 BMW XM will reportedly feature a powerful hybrid powertrain. It combines a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine with an electric motor, which delivers an output of 750 hp. BMW didn’t yet announce the acceleration time for the XM. However, the less-powerful Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid has a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 3.1 seconds. Therefore, the 2023 XM will likely have an acceleration that’s equal to or lower than this.

BMW hasn’t released details about the size of the battery pack of the XM. However, the automaker estimates that it will provide around 30 miles of electric-only driving range.

Potential exterior and interior design features of the 2023 BMW XM

The BMW Concept XM recently made its debut. While BMW may make slight alterations, the exterior design of the production 2023 XM will likely be nearly the same as the Concept XM. Like recently released BMW models such as the iX, the XM features the controversial oversized kidney grilles. The futuristic headlights of the XM have two separate sections and are framed by LEDs. The hood of the XM is long, while the roof peaks above the front seats and gently slopes down toward the rear.

While the exterior for the production 2023 XM will remain mostly the same, the interior may see significant changes from the Concept XM. Instead of the geometric headliner, the production 2023 XM may have a panoramic sunroof. Also, while the XM Concept has vintage leather upholstery, the production 2023 XM will probably replace that with more low-key materials.

The BMW XM has a massive curved display that extends across the dashboard. It will be for both the infotainment system and the digital gauge cluster. Also, you can expect the XM to have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, a premium audio system, a wireless smartphone charger, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

There is still a great deal of information that we don’t know about the 2023 BMW XM, so we’ll provide updates as more details become available. This includes the official release date, trims, price information with the cost for each trim, a full list of features and technologies, and color options.
