When will the 2023 BMW X7 be available?

The 2023 BMW X7 will hit roads in the third quarter of 2022 for the X7 xDrive40i and X7 M60i trims and early 2023 for the new ALPINA XB7 trim. The 2023 X7 will be available at BMW dealerships throughout the United States and in select international markets.

How much does the 2023 BMW X7 cost?

The starting price of the 2023 BMW X7 is $77,850 MSRP for the X7 xDrive40i and $103,100 MSRP for the X7 M60i. BMW didn’t yet release this information for the ALPINA XB7 trim.

2023 BMW X7 specs: More powerful engine options

The 2023 BMW X7 has a boost in power with its new engine options. Each of the trims has a different engine: The X7 xDrive40i has a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder engine (375 hp), and the X7 M60i features a 4.4-liter M TwinPower Turbo V-8 engine (523 hp). The 0-60 mph acceleration time is 5.6 seconds for the X7 xDrive40i and 4.5 seconds for the X7 M60i.

For the ultimate in X7 performance, the ALPINA XB7 has a specially-tuned 4.4-liter bi-turbo V-8 engine, which doles out 630 hp. The powerful engine enables the ALPINA XB7 to reach a top speed of 180 mph, with a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 4.0 seconds.

All three of the engines in the X7 are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system. Also, all X7 models have an adaptive air suspension.

2023 BMW X7: Exterior and interior design and features

The 2023 BMW X7 has a refreshed design. For the exterior, the biggest change is for the front end. It’s more expressive with slim headlights and new styling for the large kidney grille. On the X7 M60i, the grille is illuminated, which is an optional feature for the X7 xDrive40i. For the rear, the X7 has new taillights with triangular elements. Also, the X7 offers newly available 23” wheels — in addition to the 21” and 22” versions.

When the 2023 BMW X7 is released, 14 exterior color options will be available. Examples include Sparkling Copper Grey, M Marina Bay Blue Metallic, Ametrin Metallic, Dravit Grey Metallic, Tanzanite Blue II Metallic, and Frozen Pure Grey Metallic. Also, 40 individual colors will be available on request, such as Daytona Violet Metallic and Ruby Red Metallic.

Inside the cabin, the 2023 X7 has a huge curved digital display. It includes a 14.9” infotainment system touchscreen and a 12.3” gauge cluster. The X7 also has a wide range of premium features, such as a panoramic sunroof, ambient interior lighting, and heated multi-contour comfort seats.
