When will the 2023 BMW X6 be available?

The new 2023 BMW X6 will likely hit roads in late Summer/early Fall 2022. It will be available at BMW dealerships throughout the United States and in various international markets. 

The BMW X6 for the U.S. market is built at the BMW Spartanburg Plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

How much does the 2023 BMW X6 cost?

Trims offered for the 2023 BMW X6 luxury SUV include xDrive40i, M50i, and the high-performance X6 M. The starting price of the 2023 X6 is $70,100 MSRP for the xDrive40i trim, $89,100 MSRP for the M50i trim, and $113,700 MSRP for the X6 M trim. Also, the 2023 X6 costs slightly more than the 2022 X6, which has a starting base price of $67,350 MSRP.

Each trim for the new 2023 BMW X6 has a different engine. The X6 xDrive40i features a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine with a 48-volt hybrid system, which generates a total system output of 335 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque. Under the hood of the X6 M50i is a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine, which produces 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. 

And for even greater performance, the X6 M has another variant of the twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine, which produces 600 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. Also, the M Competition package for the X6 M boosts the horsepower output to 617 horsepower. All of the engines for the X6 are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, all X6 models have an all-wheel drive system. 

For acceleration, the 0-60 mph of the X6 ranges from 4.7 seconds for the xDrive40i to as low as 3.8 seconds for the X6 M. The X6 has an estimated gas mileage of up to 21 city/25 highway mpg on the efficiency front. Also, the X6 can tow up to 7,200 pounds when properly equipped.

The 2023 BMW X6 luxury SUV can seat up to five passengers. It has a total passenger volume of 100 cu-ft. Also, for storage, the X6 provides a rear cargo capacity of 27.4 cu-ft and a maximum cargo capacity of 59.6 cu-ft.

What’s new for the 2023 X6?

The 2023 BMW X6 is a carryover model. It only has minimal changes for the new model year. This includes the increased availability of the head-up display feature and the addition of a wireless charger for the Premium package. Also, Sensafin replaces SensaTec for the standard upholstery.

Also, for warranty coverage, the 2023 X6 has the backing of a four-year/50,000-mile basic warranty and a 4-year/50,000-mile powertrain warranty. Additionally, it has a free maintenance plan, with three years or 36,000 miles of coverage.

As detailed earlier, the release date of the new 2023 BMW X6 midsize luxury SUV will likely be in late Summer/early Fall 2022. Also, with a starting base price of $70,100 MSRP, the 2023 X6 costs slightly more than the 2022 X6.
