The 2023 BMW X1 still has a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine, albeit with some modifications. This includes the incorporation of a Miller combustion cycle and a new dual-injection system. Mated to a new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the revised engine generates 241 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.

Inside the cabin, the 2023 X1 features a new curved display that’s similar to the one in the redesigned 2023 3 Series. It features a 10.3” digital gauge cluster and a 10.7-inch infotainment screen. Other interior features and technologies offered for the X1 include a navigation system, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon premium sound system, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.

Also, the X1 has new seats with improved comfort and functionality. Color options for the seats include:

  • Oyster with contrasting stitching
  • Red/Black bi-color
  • Mocha with contrasting stitching
  • Black

Additionally, the 2023 X1 is larger than the 2022 X1. While the interior details of the 2023 X1 are not yet available, the increased size should result in more passenger and cargo space.

What are the small luxury SUV competitors of the BMW X1?
