If you’re in the market for a premier luxury car, you have many options. You could go the traditional route and buy a Mercedes-Benz S-Class or BMW. However, if you want something a bit different, you might opt for an Alfa Romeo Giulia and its upcoming trim update, the Estrema. Here are the release date, price, and specs of the upcoming 2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia and its sporty offerings like the Quadrifoglio.

Is there an Alfa Romeo Giulia for 2023?

The 2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia is the latest addition to the model’s storied nameplate. That is exciting news for new car shoppers who want something other than a BMW, Mercedes-Benz, or Cadillac. However, it is unclear whether the four-door sedan will get a fascia update to match the upcoming Tonale or whether it will carry on the styling of the 2022 model. Still, although it is impolite to stare, you might find yourself doing so with the latest Giulia.

How much does the 2023 Giulia cost?

The base 2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia will start at around $45,000 and go up depending on trim. According to Edmunds, the Giulia Estrema and Quadrifoglio will push the price up. However, those trims will also have higher performance figures and more upscale interiors.

For the model year 2022, the blisteringly-quick Giulia Quadrifoglio had a starting price of $80,755. That’s a lot of money, and the range-topper for 2023 will likely be as pricey.

What is different about the new Giulia?

The most significant difference between the 2022 and 2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia is the addition of the Estrema trim. According to MotorTrend, the Estrema will pack a 280-horsepower 2.0L turbocharged inline-four cylinder engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Furthermore, the Giulia Estrema appears to bridge the luxury and performance gap between the  Veloce and range-topping Quadrifoglio.

Estrema owners will enjoy carbon fiber sections and contrast stitching. Still, the Giulia at any trim doesn’t sport the kind of modernity that Audi instills in its interiors, but it is still a handsome cabin. Furthermore, the Giulia may get a facelift to match the incipient Alfa Romeo Tonale better. Beyond that, the new Giulia will likely carry over the Sprint, Ti, and Quadrifoglio from 2022.

2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia lives up to its looks

The 2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia, even after years of familiar exterior styling, is one of the most striking luxury sedans on the market. Car and Driver gives the Giulia an 8.0 out of 10.0 for its “seductive styling” and competent handling. Moreover, the Estrema adds some of the world-class materials and styling Quadrifoglio fans want for a lower starting price point.

Is the Alfa Romeo Giulia worth it?

If you’re tired of looking at Audi A4s and the BMW 3-Series, it might be time to consider an Alfa Romeo Giulia. It is unclear whether the 2023 model will have a different front fascia, but if it is anything like the outgoing models, it will be a very pleasant-looking machine. Furthermore, if you want performance to stand up to the best European luxury sedans on the market, the Giulia Quadrifoglio is a top prospect. However, be ready to spend quite a bit of money on the Quadrifoglio, as its predecessor demanded over $80,000.
