The VW ID.4 Pro provides a quiet ride, plenty of range, and plenty of cargo space. The electric SUV is very spacious as well.

The Volkswagen ID.4 competes with the Tesla Model Y in Europe. It is one of the first electric SUVs to pose a real threat to the Model Y internationally. It is a capable rival for the Model Y because it is practical and more affordable than Tesla’s electric SUV.

The VW ID.4 could dethrone the Tesla Model Y in America soon. Volkswagen’s electric SUV is one of the best in its segment, but Hyundai’s electric SUV is giving the German automaker a run for its money.

The 2022 Hyundai Ionioq 5 starts at $39,950. It comes closer to $32,450 after federal electric vehicle tax credits.

The Ioniq 5 makes 168 horsepower. It has 220 miles of range. Long range models have a 303-mile driving range. The Ioniq 5 won an Editor’s Choice award from Car and Driver. It has a smooth ride quality. The electric SUV charges quickly and handles well.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric SUV comes in several different trim levels. The Ioniq 5 Limited final trim level is practically a luxury SUV. It starts at $51,100 or $43,600 after EV tax credits. The Ioniq 5 Limited comes standard with a panoramic roof, heated front seats, and leatherette seating surfaces.

The Ioniq 5 provides plenty of value for its price. Hyundai’s electric SUV is at the top of the EV game at the moment as far as practicality and affordability in the eyes of many consumers and critics.

The Ioniq 5 is a slightly better deal than the VW ID.4. If the 2022 Ioniq 5 is the best electric SUV on the market for the average consumer, the VW ID.4 battles the Ford Mustang Mach-E for a close second place.
