The 2022 Toyota Tundra is the first Tundra redesign in 13 years. The full-size Japanese pickup truck has received major upgrades for the 2022 model year, but how does the vehicle handle off-road? Can the 2022 Toyota Tundra drive in deep snow?

How does the 2022 Toyota Tundra perform in snow?

The Toyota Tundra has never been the most capable truck off-road, but it can tackle a trail or two. The latest Tundra model boasts impressive new specs and features that allow it to perform off-road better than ever before. One driver took the 2022 Tundra on the ultimate challenge to test its off-roading chops: driving in deep snow.

The YouTubers in the video above brought a 2022 Toyota Tundra to the Colorado Rocky Mountains to see how the new truck would navigate terrain like snow. The Tundra comes in several trims. The trim in the video above is the TRD Off-Road. Toyota recently introduced TRD Off-Road trims for many of its vehicles to satisfy the demand for vehicles with off-roading capabilities.

TRD Off-Road models often include an upgraded suspension, off-road tires, and skid plates. The 2022 Toyota Tundra TRD Off-Road comes with Multi-Terrain Select, a terrain management system that adjusts the truck to handle snow, sand, and other harsh driving conditions.

The Tundra was easily able to maneuver through the deep snow. It even conquered tough turns and deep snowy inclines.

The 2022 Toyota Tundra starts at $35,950. It is a powerful full-size pickup with a refined cabin and plenty of new standard features for the 2022 model year. It features a massive 14.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Toyota Tundra is a great full-size pickup truck option, but it still isn’t the best option available despite its many improvements. According to Edmunds, the Ford F-150 is the best new truck for 2022 and 2023. The Ford F-150 and Ram 1500 hold the top spots in full-size truck rankings.

If you’re looking for the best full-size truck on the market, the Ford F-150 is a better work truck, and the Ram 1500 is a more comfortable daily driver. If you’re a fan of the Tundra nameplate, the 2022 model year is the most exciting model by a long shot.
