Will the 2022 Toyota Rav4 be redesigned?

It’s unlikely that the 2022 Toyota Rav4 will be redesigned. After all, Toyota just redesigned the Toyota Rav4 in 2019. Doing another refresh on an SUV that is the number one selling SUV in the country would probably be a waste of Toyota’s resources. Yet that doesn’t mean that nothing will change for the 2022 Rav4. They are making some updates to their beloved SUV.

Kelley Blue Book notes that the Rav4 is packed with amenities that other compact SUVs may not have, like an updated infotainment system. The Rav4 comes with a seven-inch infotainment screen and is equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has a whole bunch of important safety features.

What trim levels does the Rav4 come in?

If you want to customize your Rav4, you can do so pretty easily, beginning with six trim levels. These include the LE, XLE, XLE Premium, Adventure, TRD Off-road, and Limited. The LE is the basic Rav4, while the XLE adds conveniences like keyless ignition and entry and USB ports. The XLE Premium comes with larger wheels, a sunroof, and simulated leather.

If you opt for the Adventure, you lose the sunroof, but you gain taller roof tails and a larger touchscreen. The TRD Off-road level gets you all-terrain tires and an off-road suspension. And finally, the highest level Limited offers chrome, heated seats, and an 11-speaker JBL sound system.

Additionally, the Rav4 comes standard with a four-cylinder engine capable of 203-hp. This is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Rav4 comes with front-wheel drive, but you can upgrade to all-wheel drive if you so desire. However, both the Adventure and TRD Off-Road trim levels already come with four-wheel drive, so if you’re selecting one of those trim levels, you’re all set.

What is the 2022 Rav4 release date?

The 2022 Toyota Rav4 should be available sometime near the end of 2021, though there are widespread delays in automotive releases this year, so weather it truly becomes available then remains to be seen.

Although there isn’t official pricing on the 2022 Rav4 yet, Kelley Blue Book estimates that it will cost around $27,000, though you could always get a higher trim level or added options. Then they believe it will top out around $36,000.

If you’ve had your eye on the 2021 Toyota Rav4, you may want to wait a few more months for the 2022 Toyota Rav4. Even without a major redesign, the 2022 Rav4 is sure to offer a few niceties that will make the wait worth it.
