Gas prices aren’t being kind to 2022 pickup trucks, but some models are suffering worse than others. Specifically, there are two trucks that cost more than $100 to fill up right now – and one that costs $99, according to Consumer Reports. Here are the three pickup trucks that will cost you nearly three figures – or over, plus how much you’ll pay for them to begin with.

The 2022 Nissan Titan is the most expensive truck to fill up thanks to high gas prices

The 2022 Nissan Titan comes in sixth overall on Consumer Reports’ list of the most expensive vehicles to fill up right now, and it’s the most expensive pickup truck to fuel. To determine how much it costs to fill up these vehicles, Consumer Reports calculated how much it would cost to fill the tank from zero according to gas prices on April 12, 2022. The national average then was $4.12.

The 2022 Nissan Titan costs $107 to fill up according to Consumer Reports’ calculations. It has a 26 gallon tank and can make it 416 miles on a single tank. The Titan can get 11 mpg in the city, 22 mpg on the highway, and 16 mpg overall.

The Nissan Titan price starts at $38,310 and goes up to $60,280. It has a King Cab and the Crew Cab and only comes with a 5.6-liter V8 400 hp engine matched to an automatic transmission, according to Car and Driver. This engine can make up to 400 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. It has a quiet cabin and is comfortable, making it an attractive full-size pickup truck.

The 2022 Titan also has a 9-inch touchscreen and is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Nissan Titan’s redesign meant the pickup truck got a whole host of vital safety features, like automatic emergency braking and lane-departure warning.

It will cost you $107 to fill up the 2022 Ram 1500

The 2022 Ram 1500 also makes the list of the most expensive vehicles to fill up right now, at $107 for a full tank. With no sign of 2022 truck gas prices going down, this is an important point of consideration. The Ram gets an overall 17 mpg, with 11 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. It has a 26-gallon tank and can go 416 miles on a full tank.

The 2022 Ram 1500 price starts at $36,675. That’s for the base model, the Ram Tradesman. The Tradesman comes with a 5-inch touchscreen that, while small, “has the basics down pat,” according to Edmunds. It also has 18-inch wheels, remote entry and remote start, and an air filtration system. It also comes with a six-speaker sound system.

The 2022 Chevy Silverado costs just under $100 to fuel

The 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 is the cheapest pickup truck to fuel right now, but that’s probably not much of a consolation. The Silverado still costs $99 to fill up, just $1 under three figures. It has a fuel tank that can hold up to 24 mpg and it gets 16 mpg overall. That includes 10 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. The Silverado 1500 can go 384 miles on a full tank of gas.

The 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 price starts at $30,400 and goes up to $67,600. The 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 base model comes with a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 420 lb-ft of torque and is matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

If you’re looking for the most fuel-efficient pickup trucks, you might want to avoid these three trucks. They cost more than any other truck to fuel, and while they have many positive attributes, fuel efficiency is not one of them.
