The 2022 New York International Auto Show has returned after a two-year hiatus. The show features some of the latest truck, SUV, and car models. Electric SUVs stole the show from internal combustion engine vehicles.

The 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 was recently announced as the World Car of the Year. The Ioniq 5 is South Korean automaker Hyundai’s sleek new electric SUV. The Ioniq 5 is one of the nameplates that are leading the charge into the electric future.

Hyundai set up a mini indoor track so attendees could experience the Ioniq 5 as passengers. The experience showed off the electric SUV’s amazing ride quality and quiet cabin. Its interior was uncluttered, refined, and modern. The 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 will surely steal the hearts of many 2022 New York International Auto Show attendees.

The Kia EV6 looked fierce at the 2022 NY International Auto Show

The Kia EV6’s exterior design can be described as aggressive. The sleek new electric SUV looks quick. Car and Driver claims that the EV6 GT-Line is estimated to go from 0-60 miles per hour in under 3.5 seconds. Kia placed the electric SUV in front of a moving image display.

If seeing the EV6 in person isn’t enough, attendees can ride in the passenger’s seat of the SUV on the Auto Show’s huge EV test track located on the bottom floor. The EV6 is one of several EVs being tested on the track.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E commands attention at the NY Auto show

The Blue Oval wasn’t going to let other automakers have all the fun at the 2022 NY International Auto Show. Ford is allowing attendees to ride in the Ford F-150 Lightning and Ford Mustang Mach-E on a small indoor track.

Ford’s electrified muscle-SUV has a fierce presence that can be attributed to its muscle car DNA. Attendees rushed to join the line to ride in the Mach-E on the show’s press day and experience the Blue Oval’s first electric Mustang for themselves. Ford’s mini test track was easily one of the most attention-grabbing attractions at the show.

The Subaru Solterra brought the great outdoors to the Javits Center

The 2023 Subaru Solterra had the most elaborate display in the Javits center. Subaru set the ambiance for its electric off-road SUV by transforming its section of the show floor into a scene of natural beauty. The display featured realistic-looking rocks and foliage, as well as huge screen-projected images both behind and underneath the vehicles.

The projections displayed moving images from nature. According to Road Show by CNET, the Solterra will only be offered with all-wheel drive and a dual-motor powertrain system. It’s ready for outdoor adventure.
