Built from the ground up was not an exaggeration. According to The Brake Report, the Nissan Pathfinder sits on a new platform and features an entirely new powertrain for 2022. Firstly, its 3.5-liter double-overhead-cam V6 direct-injection engine makes 284 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque. Additionally, it comes with an impressive 6,000-pound maximum towing capacity, and standard Trailer Sway Control. These specs are impressive compared with other SUVs in its segment. For instance, far more expensive SUVs like the Jeep Grand Cherokee can’t tow as much weight.
