The Lincoln Navigator has successfully maintained its top position among luxury SUVs over the years, fighting against such competitors as the Cadillac Escalade. Still, the latest upgrades have taken it to a whole new level of refinement. In fact, its massaging seats and sublime features make the 2022 Lincoln Navigator a vehicle of luxurious comfort.

With a price range of $76,710 to $106,025, the 2022 Lincoln Navigator is one of the most expensive luxury SUVs on the market, and with good reason. A few additions and tweaks have been made to the 2022 Navigator to make it more appealing than its previous model year.

You’ll notice the redesigned front end with updated headlights, turn signals, and cool tinted fog lights from the outside. The new Lincoln Navigator’s grille has been revamped and features gloss black and chrome accents for a more elegant appearance.

Meanwhile, under the hood is a powerful turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 450 horsepower. The new Lincoln Navigator also comes equipped with an adaptive suspension and 22-inch wheels, both of which provide some offroad capability and excellent towing capabilities. The Navigator has several standard safety features, including automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, active lane control, blind-spot monitoring, park assist, and more, Car Connection reports.

The Navigator’s ActiveGlide system offers limited hands-free driving

According to CNBC, Lincoln has also implemented its ActiveGlide system in the 2022 Navigator. The system offers limited hands-free driving and can maintain the luxury SUV’s speed while keeping it in the center of the lane, all without help from the driver. While the Level 2 system can conquer over 130,000 miles of road in the United States, it requires a navigation data plan with a three-year trial period before switching to a subscription.

Updated comfort and entertainment for the 2022 Navigator

Step inside, and stylish aluminum-covered speakers adorn the inside of this luxury SUV’s doors. Meanwhile, its seat controls are easy to reach, allowing the driver to control the seat heating, ventilation, and 30-way massage.

Passengers in the middle row’s captain’s chairs have the option of heating, cooling, and massaging seats, making watching Amazon Prime movies on the SUV’s dual 10.1-inch touchscreens even more enjoyable. Rear passengers can adjust the seat and climate system using a new fully digital control module. There are also plenty of cupholders and charging ports available for passengers. As for accessing the third row, passengers can slide the second-row seats out of the way so that access to the third row is easy.

Last but certainly not least, Car Connection reports that a 13.2-inch touchscreen infotainment setup is entirely new for the 2022 Lincoln Navigator and replaces its old 10-inch unit. Also standard is a navigation system and Android, and Apple integration. Meanwhile, eight overhead speakers are part of the 28-speaker sound system available for the Navigator that deliver rich, high-quality sound while riding.

Is the 2022 Lincoln Navigator better than its rivals?

With interior materials and styling being Lincoln’s new calling card, it’s easy to say the 2022 Lincoln Navigator is the most luxurious yet. Simply consider the many upgrades the 2022 Lincoln Navigator has received, and comparing it to more expensive SUVs from luxury car brands such as Mercedes-Benz and BMW makes sense.
