We almost can’t keep up with how often the 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe keeps going up in price. However, the price increases for the Jeep Wrangler 4xe don’t seem to be slowing it down. It still serves as an incredibly popular option.

According to Motor1, the 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe just gained its third price increase. Back in January, the electrified Jeep received a small increase. Then in July, the hybrid off-roader went up again.

Now the Wrangler 4xe is receiving another price increase of $1,005. This is the third price bump, and it’s also the largest. The 4xe is now $4,635 or 9 percent more expensive since it made its debut at the beginning of the year.

The 2022 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara 4xe will start at $54,125. This includes the destination fee. The Rubicon 4xe now starts at $57,285. Initially, these Jeep models started at $49,490, so this is a sizable year-over-year increase.

But on a positive note, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe is eligible for a $7,500 federal tax credit so that it may provide savings.

What’s new for the 2022 Wrangler 4xe?

The 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is expected to primarily be a carryover model. It’s still brand new and already serves as one of America’s best-selling plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) and doesn’t need any updates yet.

The Wrangler 4xe will still only be offered as a four-door model for now. It’s available in the Sahara, Rubicon, and High Altitude trims. Also, Wrangler 4xe drivers still don’t have to pay to charge their rides at the charging stations established by the Jeep Electrify America network.

Enjoy plenty of power thanks to the 4xe’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine that’s paired with two electric motors. They combine to generate 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. This allows the 4xe to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about six seconds

Don’t worry about the temperature-controlled, waterproof 17.3-kilowatt lithium-ion battery. It sits under the Wrangler’s 4xe seat, so it’s protected from rock damage. On that waterproof note, we would like to add that the Wrangler 4xe can forge water up to 30 inches deep.

Does the 2022 4xe have a good range?

Yes, the 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has an excellent range. It can travel an EPA-estimated electric range of 21 miles. This means tons of errands can be completed without using a single drop of gas.

Also, the Wrangler 4xe gets an EPA-estimated 49 MPGe. It can make it about 370 miles between fillups. The Hybrid mode provides access to both electric power and gas. In E-Save, the Wranger 4xe PHEV only uses gas and saves the battery charge. If you run out of electric charge, don’t worry. The 4xe switches back to Hybrid mode.

The Jeep Wrangler 4xe is just as capable as any other Wrangler model on the trails. However, it does things a bit differently with a silent operation! It allows for more peaceful off-roading adventures.

Prices may have increased due to limited supply and high demand. Wrangler 4xe models are selling out pretty quickly. You may want to order years before they sell out again.
