Yes, if you want the most fuel-efficient Grand Cherokee model out there, the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is worth every penny. But how much does the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe cost? Prepare your wallet.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe starts at about $59,495. This includes the $1,795 destination charge. The 4xe is available in five trim levels, including the base model, Trailhawl, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve. The Summit Reserve brings the price up to about $76,095.

It only costs $38,325 to get started in the gasoline-powered Jeep Grand Cherokee. So, the 4xe tacks on about an extra $20,000 to gain electric power.

Does the Grand Cherokee 4xe have a good range?

Each 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe model comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, two electric motors, and a 400-volt battery back. These forces combine to generate about 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque.

The Grand Cherokee 4xe targets an all-electric range of about 25 miles, which is good for daily driving. Most people commute less than 25 miles per day. It gets an estimated 57 MGPe and can go about 440 miles between fillups.

When properly equipped, the Grand Cherokee 4xe can tow up to 6,000 lbs. Jeep hasn’t released how quickly the 4xe can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph.

The regular Jeep Grand Cherokee is available with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that cranks out 293 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. You can upgrade to the 5.7-liter V8 engine with 375 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. It gets an EPA-estimated 19 mpg in the city and up to 26 mpg on the highway.

The gas-powered Grand Cherokee can tow up to 7,200 lbs, which is 1,200 more pounds than the 4xe. It can also reach 60 mph in about 6.2 seconds.

What comes standard with the Grand Cherokee 4xe?

Each 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe model comes with standard four-wheel drive. The Limited or the base model comes with a two-speed transfer case and the Selec-Terrain management system. It rides on 18-inch aluminum wheels, and automatic LED exterior lights.

The interior consists of an 8.4-inch touchscreen with Unconnect 5, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system. A 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, heated seats in the front and rear, a heated steering wheel, and a power liftgate.

Standard safety features consist of forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assistance, rear-cross traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.

Upgrading to the Trailhawk trim adds an electronic limited-sleep differential, Select-Speed Control, the Quadra-Lift air suspension system with semi-active damping, and a front sway bar disconnect.

It also adds tow hooks, ventilated front seats, an off-road camera, auto-dimming rearview mirror, suede seat inserts, and a gloss-black roof.

So, the Grand Cherokee 4xe does include plenty of value with its price. It can tow as much as the gas-powered models, but it will save tons of fuel and offers more power.
