The 2022 Jeep Gladiator is highly anticipated following the success of its previous iteration. The 2021 Jeep Gladiator was the only Jeep model to earn a Consumer Reports recommendation in many years. The Gladiator has proven itself to be a standout model and now Jeep is rallying behind the popular pickup.

According to Motor1, the 2022 Jeep Gladiator will be over $2,020 more expensive than the 2021 model year. Thankfully, this price increase comes with some improvements. While the base model will only cost about $355 more than its original price, the higher trim levels will see the big price increase.

The Overland, Mojave, and Rubicon Jeep Wrangler trims may be more expensive for the 2022 model year, but they feature one major new addition. These trims will now come standard with an 8.4-inch Uconnect 4C navigation system. Whether or not the navigation system is worth over $2,000 is your decision, but at least Jeep didn’t just increase the price of the popular truck without offering any new features.

The 2021 Jeep Gladiator has been a contender for best truck in its vehicle class. The Gladiator threatened to dethrone favorites like the Honda Ridgeline this year. Why? Because Jeep designed a truck that’s ready to rock at any time. Off-roading has become very popular in recent years and few automakers know how to design a great off-roader as well as Jeep does. The Jeep Gladiator is like a Wrangler but even more powerful. It can tow and haul more and makes more horses.

The 2022 Jeep Gladiator is an excellent truck because it is both fun and capable. It will start at around $35,300. The Gladiator has all the off-roading capability of a Wrangler and adds the utility of having a truck bed.

The Jeep Gladiator excels at off-roading. While it could make a decent daily driver, there are better daily driver pickup trucks on the market. The Honda Ridgeline is regarded as one of the best daily driver trucks on the market because of its unique design. The Ridgeline and Gladiator are within the same price range, but the Ridgeline has a longer history of reliability and consumer satisfaction.

The Honda Ridgeline has a comfortable interior, handles well, and has decent fuel economy. The 2022 Jeep Gladiator isn’t the best truck in its class for daily use, but it sure is fun to drive off the beaten path. Buy a Jeep Gladiator if you want a pickup that is capable of consistently taking the road less traveled.
