On the performance front, the 2022 Honda CR-V offers two powertrains: a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine (190 hp) and a hybrid (212 hp). In comparison, all 2022 Honda HR-V models have a 141-hp 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine. Both crossovers offer a choice of either a front-wheel drive system or all-wheel drive system. 

For efficiency, the gas-powered CR-V gets an estimated fuel economy of up to 30 combined mpg, and the CR-V Hybrid has a gas mileage of 38 combined mpg. In comparison, the HR-V has an estimated fuel efficiency of up to 30 combined mpg.

If you need a crossover SUV that can tow, then the CR-V is the best choice for you. While the HR-V is not rated for towing, the CR-V has a maximum towing capacity of 1,500 pounds.
