The 2023 Acura Integra has a lot to offer in terms of performance and practicality. It shares its powertrain with the venerable Honda Civic Si, so it has 200 hp under the hood in addition to a slick-shifting manual transmission. It also has enough room for up to five adults. However, if you’re looking for something that falls within the same price range and with similar power, then the 2022 Honda Accord Sport 2.0T is an option. But which sedan would be a better buy?

The 2022 Honda Accord Sport 2.0T offers more usable power

The Honda Accord, like this red one, has a spot on the list of mid-size cars that cost the least to own.

When comparing the specs of these two cars, it’s clear that the 2022 Honda Accord 2.0T wins the battle for more usable power. Under its hood is a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 that produces 252 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque, which peaks at 1,500 to 4,000 rpm. That translates into more mid-range torque to pull the car up hills and onto freeways in a quicker amount of time.

On the other hand, the 2023 Acura Integra is equipped with a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine that puts out 200 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque. We’re sure that it’s more than adequate for the daily drive. But in terms of performance, Car and Driver measured a 0-60 mph time of 7.0 seconds, which is not bad. But it pales in comparison to the Accord 2.0T’s 5.4-second 0-60 mph run on the same track.

The Honda Accord has more interior room than the Integra

The 2022 Honda Accord is larger than the Integra on the outside and the inside. In terms of interior space, the Accord has 105.6 cubic-feet total passenger volume, while the Integra has 95.8 cubic feet. That means while five adults can fit in a 2023 Integra just fine, they’ll feel a lot more comfortable in the Accord.

That being said, the Integra does have more cargo volume (24.3 cubic feet versus 16.7) thanks to its hatchback configuration.

The 2023 Integra offers a far better audio system

While the Honda Accord has more room and power than the Integra, it doesn’t beat it in the entertainment department. The 2023 Integra is available with wireless phone integration, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and an ELS 16-speaker sound system. The best audio system you can get in the Accord is an 8-inch touchscreen with a 180-watt system and eight speakers, which looks amateur in comparison.

When comparing these two cars in terms of pricing, the 2022 Honda Accord Sport 2.0T starts at $33,600, which falls in the middle of the Integra’s $30,000 – $36,000 price range. Both of these cars offer a lot for the money, but we think that the Accord offers more.

It may not be as luxurious as the Integra in terms of its tech features, but when it comes to space and performance, the Accord is hard to beat. Of course, if you prefer the slick-shifting six-speed manual transmission in the Integra, then you get the top-trim A-spec model with it. But that will cost you closer to $36,000, so the Accord is still the cheaper choice.
