What is the standard base 2022 Ford Maverick infotainment system?

Starting at just $20,000, the Ford Maverick is shockingly affordable. As a result, does the infotainment fail to impress? Inside the base model Maverick XL compact truck, you’ll find a unique infotainment system all its own. According to CarBuzz, it’s called Connected Touch Radio, and it uses an eight-inch touchscreen. Although it’s cheap, you’d be surprised at how high-quality the base model system is.

Connected Touch Radio has standard 911 assist and AppLink. AppLink enables non-OEM apps to work within Ford’s systems, like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Each of these is a standard Maverick feature. Overall, the base version of the compact truck’s infotainment is surprisingly good and isn’t a dealbreaker if you don’t want to pay for a higher trim level.

Firstly, the highest form of the Ford Maverick truck is the Lariat trim level. Surprisingly, it’s still pretty affordable, starting at under $30,000. However, the Lariat model isn’t enough if you want the upgraded Sync 3 infotainment system. In addition, you’ll need to opt for the Lariat Luxury Package, which costs $3,750. Without adding anything else, that boosts the price up to a total of $31,755.

The good news is that all that money doesn’t go to waste. Not only does the Lariat Luxury Package come with many other features, but the upgraded infotainment system is excellent. Sync 3 is one of the best infotainment systems available and uses the same eight-inch touchscreen. Moreover, it’s fast, responsive, and easy to use. It also provides owners with enhanced voice recognition communications and an overall improved entertainment system for audio, smartphone usage, etc.

What else comes with the Lariat Luxury Package?

Other than Sync 3, those who choose to pay the extra $3,750 will receive a whole lot more. Items like heated seats, a heated steering wheel, a wireless charging pad, and more are bundled into the package. However, the list doesn’t stop there and even includes driver-assist capabilities like Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go. Overall, the value the package adds is excellent. Other essential features included in the package are the following:

  • Evasive steering
  • Spray-in Bedliner
  • 400W/110V inverter
  • B&O sound system with eight speakers
  • Heated mirror
  • Rear parking sensors
  • LED box lighting
  • Smart-charging USB ports
  • Windshield wiper de-icer

Both 2022 Ford Maverick infotainment systems are excellent

Regardless of whether you choose to upgrade to Sync 3 or not, you’ll be happy with the 2022 Ford Maverick infotainment system. Even the base infotainment, Connected Touch Radio, is riddled with top-notch capabilities. It’s also surprisingly responsive and easy to use. For a bit more money, buyers can get the upgraded Sync 3 infotainment system, which is one of the best in any modern vehicle. We expect future Mavericks to get the Sync 4 system used in the Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning within the next few model years.
