Several factors go into making the Chevy Colorado LT a good truck. It is available with either two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, which gives it sought-after capability. Additionally, this version of the 2022 Colorado has three engine options. The standard engine is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. This powertrain offers 200 horsepower and 191 pound-foot of torque.

For additional power, buyers can opt for an available 3.6-liter V6 engine which generates 308 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque. If you are someone who prefers a diesel truck, the available 2.8-liter turbodiesel is likely to impress. It has 181 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque.

Better yet, a variety of packages are available to the 2022 Chevy Colorado LT. These include a Redline Special Edition package which brings a spray-on bed liner and all-season tires. For those in search of comfort features, the Luxury Package delivers on automatic climate control and a heated steering wheel. Ideal for colder climates.

Lastly, if you are in need of something more rugged, you can get factory-installed skid plates. Which will help your mid-size truck handle rough terrain more easily.

Who should buy the 2022 Chevy Colorado?

The new Chevy Colorado is ideal for those who want the driving experience of a truck, but do not need a full-size option like the Chevy Silverado 1500. It still offers serious utility, according to Car and Driver, like the ability to tow 7,000 lbs when properly equipped and its 49.9 cubic feet of cargo storage.

Additionally, there is a comfortable driving position and usable infotainment. Which are both welcome touches in a modern truck. While the LT may not offer the same capability as the top-trim ZR2, it does offer a friendly price point and some enjoyable features.
