The Dodge Power Wagons have a long history of being the heavy-duty kings of factory off-roaders. In the Ram era, the legend continues but with a more PC slant. As such, the meaty big tires and diesel power of past Power Wagons are missing. Seeing a lifted Ram pickup with diesel power is the essence of what the Power Wagon should be. But nature abhors a vacuum. Enter the Rocky Ridge Ram pickup.
The RR K2 comes with either the Hemi V8 or 6.7 liter Cummins turbo diesel
Rocky Ridge starts with a Ram 2500 HD 4×4 pickup. Then, it offers its series truck with either the Hemi V8 or a 6.7 liter Cummins turbo diesel. This way you can tailor your Ram for either off-road fun or towing clout-or both. But maybe the best part is that it is backed by a full Ram manufacturing warranty of three years or 36,000 miles.
What we like most about the Rocky Ridge Ram HD K2 is the 37-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 tires combined with the 20-inch wheels. They’re pushed out to the corners instead of being tucked in like its tail is between its legs. The five-inch lift is accomplished with a Rocky Road suspension lift kit. If you’ve got off-road prowess you need to show it off a bit, right?
Tying it all together are the fender flares painted body color
Tying it all together are the fender flares painted body color. Completing the suspension mods is a full alignment, speedometer recalibration, and road-force tire balancing. No more guessing your speed or cupping your expensive mud tires.
Finishing off the exterior is the Rocky Ridge/K2 graphics package with badges at all four sides of the Ram. Options include body-color fender vents, body-color rear bumper, chrome accents, and a Vengeance front bumper that incorporates LED lights. Paint options include a gloss or suede black upper or faded gradient paint.
For the interior, there are a number of ways to go
For the interior, there are a number of ways to go. You get headrests with the Rocky Ridge logo embroidered on them. From there, there are leather options that include a diamond stitch with contrasting stitching. There is also an optional center console safe and special gauge package with Rocky Ridge logos.
While some of the Rocky Ridge package is cosmetic, the improved stance and aggressive look is a big improvement over the factory Ram Power Wagon. Yes, you can install 37-inch tall tires and a five-inch lift and get a similar look. But the combined Rocky Ridge package offering diesel power and a factory warranty lets you have your cake and eat it too. It’s a unique combo only available from Rocky Ridge.
