As time continues to pass, more and more drivers are interested in leading a more ecologically friendly lifestyle. Fortunately, drivers can turn to professionals for help when deciding which hybrid car might be the best fit for them. See what U.S. News had to say on the manner, and how the 2021 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid sort of fits into the picture

The “12 Most Fuel-Efficient Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid Cars” list revealed that just about every automobile company has their hat in the ring, so to speak. On Kia’s front, the 2020 Niro was showcased for its high predicted reliability ratings and the vehicle’s ability to save a substantial chunk of money.

Toyota managed quite a few spots on the noteworthy list. The 2021 Corolla Hybrid and the 2021 Prius were just two of Toyota’s models listed by U.S. News. The 2021 Toyota Camry Hybrid also secured a remarkable spot amongst its competitors. Praised for its quiet powertrain and smooth ride, the 2021 Toyota Camry Hybrid isn’t a bad choice.

However, drivers should take note that this model is considered to be one of the most expensive hybrid options on the market, but it still wasn’t the most expensive hybrid model on the list. That title belongs to the 2021 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

The 2021 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid’s price doesn’t reflect efficiency

As the famous saying goes, “you have to spend money to make money”, but, in this case, do drivers need to spend money to save money? Unfortunately, in the case of the 2021 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, that does not seem to be the issue at hand.

The 2021 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid is estimated to cost about $28,000. However, drivers will only need one look at the vehicle to see that it is very upscale. The Sonata’s sleek aesthetic and spacious cabin are a few of the car’s details that put it above its rivals. The electric motor paired with the four-cylinder engine are both part of what gives the 2021 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid unprecedented horsepower. However, as far as efficiency goes, it might not be the best pick. The touchy and unreliable brakes are part of what has given this model a bit of a questionable reputation.

If drivers are looking to invest in a new hybrid car, they probably will be glad to know there are more affordable and more efficient options than the 2021 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid.
