The 2021 Ford Raptor Just Got Even More Expensive

The time has finally come. We know how much the 2021 Ford Raptor will cost. And while that’s certainly good news for some, the bad news is that you can expect to pay more for this year’s Raptor than last year’s. In fact, according to sources, the Ford Raptor got a 20% price increase for the 2021 model year.

Will there be a 2021 Ford Raptor?

Yes, there will be a 2021 Ford Raptor. The automaker first unveiled the all-new Raptor earlier this year. According to Ford, the incoming Ford Raptor benefits from an all-new five-link rear suspension, electronically controlled FOX shocks with Live Valve technology and first-in-class available 37-inch tires.

Ford claims the new Ford Raptor will be the best-performing Raptor yet too. It comes powered by a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine that delivers better low-end torque along with an increased maximum towing capacity and greater maximum payload capability. It also boasts an EPA-estimated range of over 500 miles.

What engine will be in the 2021 Raptor?

When it comes to the 2021 Ford Raptor, you can expect to find a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine under the hood. While Ford claims the Raptor’s 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine will offer up more strength than previous models, the automaker has yet to get into specifics.

With that in mind, Car and Driver reports the previous iteration of the Ford Raptor delivered 450-hp. One would hope the 2021 model offers just as much if not more horsepower than its predecessor. Fortunately, Car and Driver reports we should know more specifics about the Raptor’s 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine later this year.

How much will the 2021 Ford Raptor cost?

There’s no beating around the bush here. Expect this year’s Raptor to be expensive. In fact, according to Motor1, a now confirmed tip from the forum F150Gen14.com shows that the new Raptor will start at $64,145. That figure doesn’t include $1,695 for destination and delivery either.

According to Motor1, that $64,145 starting price represents a significant price increase of $10,000 over the previous model, which cost approximately $53,445. As you can imagine, tacking on additional options to this year’s Raptor will only drive its base price up further.

Is the Ford Raptor worth the money?

Really, it all depends. For some, spending upwards of $64,145 on a new pickup isn’t all that unreasonable. But for others? That kind of pricing will easily break the bank.

In the end, we recommend holding off on this pickup until it arrives in dealerships later this year. After all, the best way to decide if the Ford Raptor is worth the spend is to actually get behind the wheel of it yourself.
