The Ford Mustang Mach-E has been one of the most exciting yet controversial electric vehicles released from Ford. With the adoption of the Mustang logo, Ford has tactically chosen to move the branding forward with a new meaning while still holding on to the brand’s heritage. While the electric SUV might not have been what you expected to be holding the meaningful Mustang badge, according to some websites, the Ford Mustang Mach-E one of the best options of the year.

The 2021 Ford Mustang came as one of the top-rated luxury electric SUVs of the year according to Edmunds — and with their helpful rating system, it’s easy to see why. If you’re surprised to see the Mustang Mach-E sitting comfortably at the top of the luxury, you’re not alone, but it does well to deserve the title, inside and out.

From its appearances, the Ford Mustang Mach-E is surprisingly striking, and it does share some styling characteristics that harken back to its namesake, the original two-door sports cars. But more than that, it offers a quality driving experience that makes it both enjoyable to drive and comfortable. It received high marks for interior, comfort, and drivability, totaled up among other factors to give the car an overall score of 8.3 out of a possible 10, making it the highest-ranked luxury electric SUV that the website has reviewed among the 2021 models.

A well-rounded electric luxury SUV

The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E truly stands out from the crowd, and it will definitely make passerby drivers take a second look. With the popularity of SUVs skyrocketing in the past several years, it makes sense that sportier options would become more prevalent, and while the Mach-E won’t impress you with any quarter-mile times it still offers drivers surprisingly agile handling, but with enough space and comfort to be a truly practical vehicle.
