The 2021 BMW i3 is Still Awkwardly Adorable

The market for electric vehicles has expanded to include everything from small cars to semi-trucks. The market for electric vehicles has expanded to include everything from small cars to semi-trucks. With so many options on the market, it can be hard to sift through all of the options to decide what’s worth the test drive, and even more difficult, what’s worth your final purchase. For the right driver, something as small and simple as the BMW i3 might just be the right answer.

A big-city commuter

The BMW i3 might not be the meanest looking car on the road, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a good car. In fact, some could say that the quirky appearances of the i3 reflect its futuristic and electric-focused nature. The spunky little EV might not take you all the way across the country on an adventurous and scenic road trip, but it is a great choice for big-city commuters who battle traffic and parking on a daily basis. With a car this small, you can easily fit into spots that other larger vehicles couldn’t.

BMW style and comfort

The BMW i3 pairs well as the smaller, cuter version of the flagship line that it started with, like the BMW i8. There is no doubt that the brand has designed specific features to set their electric and hybrid models out from their standard gasoline ones, but that doesn’t mean they have completely ditched the idea of luxury and comfort. While the interior of the i3 is a bit more modern, its small and cozy nature is perfect for a daily commute, or maybe even a first car, and its compact size makes it surprisingly zippy in heavy traffic.

Small and spunky

The 2021 isn’t a long-distance type of driver, and as you could imagine, it doesn’t offer anything close to an impressive electric range. Instead, it offers what most drivers could need on a daily basis, getting you where you need to go and back home to get on a charger. While it doesn’t have the enjoyable and responsible inline 6-cylinder engine that some BMW drivers have come to love from the brand, it still offers a spunky acceleration and decent enough handling.

Overall, the somewhat awkward yet charming appearances of the 2021 BMW i3 do set it apart, not only from the lineup of BMWs but from other electric cars as well. It’s small size and quirky nature might just make it the perfect EV for the right owner.
