2015 Lexus NX: price, specs, and features

The 2015 Lexus NX marked the first year of production for this compact crossover. U.S. News reports that the 2015 NX can now be purchased used for anywhere between $21,070 and $23,304.

For that price, you are getting a crossover with a smooth running engine, pleasant ride, great fuel economy, and a spacious, tech-savvy interior. All of these high points put the 2015 Lexus NX in 16th place on U.S. News’ list of the most affordable SUVs under $25,000.

The 2015 NX comes standard with a 2.0L four-cylinder turbocharged engine in its base model form, with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive setups offered. The NX is also offered in an F-Sport package which adds some performance-minded styling and performance suspension.

The 2015 model is also offered with a hybrid drivetrain as well, which features a 2.5L hybrid four cylinder engine. The 2015 NX features a stylish cabin with angular aesthetics throughout. Standard features in the cabin include dual-zone climate control, a rearview camera, and a 7-inch infotainment screen.

Does the 2016 Lexus NX bring anything new to the table?

The 2016 Lexus NX is priced between $22,667 and $24,864 on the used market. With the 2015 and 2016 models being nearly identical, there is hardly any difference in this vehicle from the 2015 model in ranking either.

Just like the 2015 model, this 2016 model ranks in 16th place on U.S. News’ list of the best compact luxury SUVs.

How does this SUV fare against the competition?

Both the 2015 and 2016 Lexus NX ranked number 16 on U.S. News’ list of affordable compact SUVs. Some of the vehicles that ranked higher than these two models include the 2010 Audi Q5, 2012 BMW X3, 2011 Volvo XC60, 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class, and the 2010 Acura RDX.

While some of these vehicles received a high ranking due to their low prices, the NX held its own against solid competition, and as one of the newest options on this list, showed that the Lexus NX can be an affordable luxury upgrade to the Toyota RAV4 that it is built upon.
