A man bought a rare 1933 Chevrolet truck online, which seemed to be in perfect condition. He didn’t see the Chevy truck in person and didn’t recognize it when it was delivered. The photos online hid multiple bullet holes and other problems.
CT man buys a 1933 Chevy truck online and its delivered with bullet holes
Henry Jocquemin saw an old Chevy truck online that he couldn’t pass up. The 1933 Chevrolet model was posted online by a seller in Portland, Oregon and it was in mint condition.
When he went to pick it up, he asked the delivery driver where his truck was. He didn’t recognize the model that was parked in front of his barn. Jocquemin argued that it wasn’t his ride, and showed him pictures of the perfect truck from the ad.
But the delivery man showed him the paper work. The beat up model in his yard was the Chevy he paid for. Only it was riddled with bullet holes.
Someone had shot the body panels, fenders, doors and the tail gate. Plus, a portion of the cab was made of plywood. It was pretty upsetting to find all of this damage after partying $7,800 for the truck and another $900 for shipping.
According to Greenwich Time, he decided to have it sent out for a frame-off restoration. The work included dropping a 1957 GMC inline-six engine with 325 hp under the hood. It was paired with a five-speed manual transmission.
Jocquemin also upgraded the brakes, added brake lights, and installed turn signals. Now it’s in perfect condition but is a bit scary to drive around 75 to 80 mph.
