Ever since the C8 Corvette was first unveiled, it was a hit. It changed the world as a mid-engined, V8-powered supercar anyone could buy at any Chevrolet dealer for the price of a well-equipped pickup truck. Now we have the 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06.

While the previous seven generations of the Corvette also found overwhelming success, it wasn’t until this 8th generation of the Corvette was released that it truly started competing against the best cars in the world.

Recently, DuPont Registry, one of the leading forces in the luxury automotive marketplace, released its awards for the best vehicles of 2022. Where did the Z06 end up? Here is everything you need to know about the best vehicles of 2022 according to DuPont Registry and how the Corvette Z06 fared against the competition.

DuPont Registry reviews a wide variety of vehicles every year. For 2022, the winners include the Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II as the best luxury car of 2022, the Bentley Bentayga EWB as the best luxury SUV, the Pininfarina Battista as the best EV, the Lamborghini Huracán STO as the best supercar, and finally, the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 as the vehicle with the best value for 2022.

2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 – Best value of 2022

According to DuPont Registry, the 2023 Corvette Z06 is the vehicle with the best value for 2022. If you are familiar with this model, that probably doesn’t surprise you.

DuPont Registry is quoted as calling the C8 Corvette Z06 “one of the best Corvettes ever made.” It takes the bones of the C8 Corvette and adds unbelievable power and handling to the already impressive midengined supercar.

When it comes to demonstrating the value found in the Corvette Z06, one of the best examples is that a Z06 is just as fast as the Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica from 0 to 60 mph, and even faster than the Lamborghini in a figure eight handling test.

What makes this even more impressive is that the Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica has a base price of $239,000, while the Z06 starts at under half that price at $105,300 MSRP.

Released in September of 2022, the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 starts at $105,300 MSRP for the base 1LZ Coupe model, which features a removable Targa top, premium sound system, color heads-up display, 8-way power seats, and an HD rearview camera as standard equipment.

The next trim level for the Z06 is the 2LZ Coupe, which starts at $114,500 MSRP and adds a Bose Performance sound system, heated and ventilated seats, a navigation system with a performance data recorder, memory settings for the driver and passenger seats, and rear cross-traffic and side blind spot alerts.

Finally, the 3LZ Z06 trim level, the premium model, adds a carbon-fiber trimmed steering wheel and shift paddles, custom leather-wrapped instrument panel, GT2 seats with Napa leather and carbon fiber trim, and a voice of eight different interior color options.

Every Corvette Z06 is available as a convertible for around a $7,000 premium. Every trim level is equipped with the Z06’s 5.5L V8 engine making 670 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, paired to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. With all of these features at under half the price of the competition, it is no surprise that the 2023 Corvette Z06 is among the best values in the automotive industry today.
