The 2021 Toyota RAV4 takes the top spot for best-selling SUVs in 2021. According to Forbes, Toyota has sold 313,447 2021 RAV4s so far in 2021. That’s quite a large number of compact SUVs. Even with the global chip shortage, this number is up 4.5%. 

The 2021 Honda CR-V is one of the most popular SUVs

Okay, the 2021 Honda CR-V isn’t exactly right behind the 2022 Toyota RAV4, but that’s not really a surprise, given the number of RAV4s sold so far. Still, the 2021 Honda CR-Vs numbers are nothing to sneeze at. Honda has sold 290,140 2021 CR-Vs so far in 2021. Though this number is lower than usual, people are still gravitating towards Honda’s mix of reliability and style. 

The 2021 Nissan Rogue is selling well

The 2021 Nissan Rogue is currently the third best-selling SUV in 2021. Nissan has sold 234,647 2021 Rogue’s in the first three quarters of 2021. Its year-to-date sales are up 40%, largely thanks to its recent major redesign.

The 2021 Toyota Highlander follows a long line of Highlanders that have sold well. The Highlander is known for being such a versatile SUV that it’s no wonder that the 2021 Toyota Highlander is the fourth best-selling SUV in 2021. 207,564 2021 Highlanders have been sold so far, with three months to go in the year. 

The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee sold less than 200,000 cars, but it’s one of the most popular SUVs

The 2021 Ford Explorer’s sales are up 1%

Technically, the 2021 Ford Explorer’s sales are up .9%, but that’s pretty close to 1%. It’s still not a huge increase, but it is an increase, and it makes the 2021 Ford Explorer one of the most popular SUVs. So far in 2021, 160,174 Ford Explorers have been sold.

The 2021 Chevy Equinox’s sales are down but it’s still one of the most popular SUVs

Even though the 2021 Chevy Equinox’s sales are down roughly 20%, it’s still one of the best-selling SUVs in 2021. It’s a weird year. The 2021 Chevy Equinox has sold 151,110 cars so far in 2021. To make matters worse, sales are down 80% compared to last September.
